Easy homemade hummus recipe from organic chickpeas:
• 2x400g cans of Organic Chickpeas Tinned Chickpeas
• Two garlic cloves, crushed
• 4 teaspoon tahini
• a teaspoon crushed sea salt
• 6 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
• coriander or parsley leaves (optional)
• 3 ½ tablespoon squeezed lemon juice
Firstly rinse the organic chickpeas in cold water and then pour into a food processor. But save the water from the can!
Next, add the garlic, tahini, salt, lemon juice and seven tablespoons of the liquid from the cans. Start to mix them together and slowly pour in the olive oil while the food processor runs.
When the mixture is thoroughly combined and smooth, tip it into a serving dish.
You can decorate it with some whole chickpeas and pour some more extra olive oil on the top. You can also sprinkle with paprika and finely chopped parsley and/or coriander.
