Thummerer Egri Kiralyleanyka is a classic dry white wine with protected origin, a native Hungarian variety. It has a pleasant appearance, a pale greenish-yellow colour, and is fresh and fruity in its aroma and flavour. It has a nice, lively acid background and a pleasantly enjoyable residual carbon dioxide content.

We recommend consuming at 8-9°C.  You can enjoy this dry white wine as an aperitif with appetizers and with spring, summer vegetable dishes. It is the perfect accompaniment to cucumber cannelloni with dill “zsendice” paste.

What makes this dry wine so precious?

Thummerer Egri Kiralyleanyka is produced with a reductive technology, which means controlled fermentation, and aged in stainless steel tanks. We kept a part of the natural CO2 content after fermentation.

About Thummerer Winery

The winery produces wines from their self-established, 100-hectare vineyard in the Eger wine region. Its location is in Noszvaj, which is 12 km from the centre of Eger. The 2,000 m2 cellar was once an estate manor that was literally carved out of the volcanic tuff mountain by hand. The owners extended the old cellar with a new 2,200 m2 cellar system, that was carved out of the volcanic tuff hill by modern machines. The temperate and balanced climate of the cellar provides ideal conditions for wine ageing.

The winery renews its technology with internationally recognized modern and superior quality equipment and viticulture yearly. Thummerer wines are present in exclusive restaurants and hotels of Hungary. But you can find them in Belgium, Switzerland, Sweden, Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, China, South Korea and Taiwan and now in United Kindom as well.
